Attention – Health Capacity Grant Schools

The Health Science Capacity Building Grant “Pathway Profile Data Sheet” referenced below is required of all schools as part of their end of year report to the state.  It is important that you read over the material, complete the form,  and provide the information requested. The Pathway Profile Data Sheet along with the End of YearReport and the Budget Report are due on the first day of the June Institute.

June Institute Presentation Proposal and Guideline

The Presentation Proposal form and the Presentation Guidelines are available now.  You will be receiving these forms from your mentors or may have already received these forms from them.  Please note, the completed Presentation Proposal form is to be returned to your mentor by April 29th.

GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS

6th Annual Health Science Educator’s Institute

The 6th Annual Health Science Educator’s Institute will take place in Anaheim from June 27, 2011 through and including June 29, 2011.

The Institute is designed for teams composed of teachers, administrators (grades 7-14), counselors, postsecondary partners, and industry partners with the goal of developing, enriching or improving their health science career pathway utilizing a Strategic Pathway Assessment process.

The Institute registration packet has been emailed to all Health Science Medical Technology Grant Coordinators, but a copy is also available for down load by clicking of the “HSMT reg 11-1″  link at the end of this post.  Be sure to complete the packet and send it in as soon as possible.  The deadline for hotel reservations is June 6, 2011.  The deadline for registering all the members is  June 17, 2011.

Educating for Careers Conference, 2011

Career Technical Education (CTE), the California Career Pathway Consortia and the California Partnership Academies will again join forces as the 17th annual Educating for Career Conference and the 23rd annual California Partnership Academies Conference becomes the California Career Pathways Consortia and California Partnership Academies Educating for Careers Conference. The theme for this year’s conference will be Focusing Education on the Future.

Conference dates:  March 3, 4, and 5th

Conference location: Sacramento, California

This is a must attend conference for those who are working in Partnership Academies, Career Pathways programs, or Career Technical Education programs.  There will be presentations each day that will be focused on providing you the best possible information on activities and techniques you may implement at your school.

2011 Cal-HOSA State Leadership Conference

“Cal-HOSA:  SHAKIN’ UP HEALTHCARE”

Be sure to attend the Cal-HOSA State Leadership Conference taking place April 7 through 10 in Sacramento, CA.  This is a “must attend” conference for all Cal HOSA Chapters.
