June 2012 Health Science Educator’s Institute

Randy The annual summer Health Science Educator’s Institute will take place in Sacramento, California from June 25, 2012 through June 27, 2012. (Coordinators: There is a mandatory meeting for you at 5:00 pm, June 24th.) In addition a “Pre-Institute” workshop is available on June 24th, and a 1st Annual Youth Leadership and Advocacy Institute will be available from June 25th through June 27th. The enrollment in the Youth Leadership and Advocacy Institute is limited to a total of 15 attendees. Please note: The due date for the Youth Leadership nomination has been extended to May 10th and the form with that new date has been posted. If you have already submitted a nominee’s name you do not need to resubmit using the updated form.
Please read all the attached forms for information and details regarding the Institute (including a DRAFT Agenda), Effective Practice Presentations, Workshop form, and Youth Leadership Nominations.

Please note all due dates (The deadlines are not all the same.) for registrations for the Institute, the Workshop, and the Youth Leadership and Advocacy Institute. The Youth Leadership and Advocacy form is in Microsoft WORD so the student may use it for their personal statement and the Teacher/Counselor may use it for the recommendation letter.
Again, please take note of all required participants and due dates for registrations, reservations, and applications.

Educating for Careers 2012 Conference
November 17th, 2011 Randy The Educating for Careers Conference is an annual three-day professional development event surrounding career technical education (CTE). The conference will take place from February 13th through February 15th 2012 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
